Veganism is everywhere these days, and people who abandon animal products in favor of a vegan diet do so for a handful of reasons. Meat lovers often roll their eyes when they claim that vegan diets are healthy, but science takes a different view. While soy has had a lousy reputation lately, soy products, ideally fermented, can be a healthy addition to a vegan diet. Although we assume that you don't eat Oreos every day (they are vegan) and that you don't rely solely on processed foods, research has shown that a varied and healthy vegan diet can play a significant role in improving your overall health. To ensure a sustainable diet and not feel bored and deprived, you should choose plant-based versions of animal products such as nuts, seeds, fruits, vegetables and whole grains that you may have missed. You would have to make sure you choose your own healthy vegan foods for your daily diet, but now you can find most products for a healthier vegan diet in your regular supermarket.
